First of all, thank you for your message and your interest in our office.
In order to provide you with careful and expert advice, your case will have to be reviewed and our lawyers will have to ask specific (legal) questions. We strive to provide our clients with the most expert and honest advice possible.
For this reason, we never provide advice over the phone and/or the internet without an intake interview. We must also determine whether there is any conflict of interest and we must first establish the identity of our clients.
Procedure and costs of the intake interview
If you would like an intake interview, we can schedule a telephone appointment for this.
The costs for the first half hour (30 minutes) are 150 euros including VAT. The invoice for this appointment must be paid in advance. You must also identify yourself in advance.
If you would like a physical appointment, we will charge 300 euros including VAT for the first hour (60 minutes).
Identification
In order to prevent a possible conflict of interest, our lawyers would like to verify your identity in advance. In this context, we request that you send us a copy of your ID before the intake interview. You can make a secure copy of your ID using the KopieID app. After checking, we will delete it.
Purpose of intake interview
In addition, we would like to point out that the intake interview is only intended to assess the case you have submitted. This means that we will assess whether we can assist you based on the facts and circumstances. If the intake interview results in an accepted case, the intake costs you paid will be refunded or offset against any (lawyer) costs still to be incurred.
No accepted case/right to refuse
The intake interview does not automatically mean that we can and/or want to accept the case and we reserve the right to refuse the case. In that case, you are not entitled to a refund of the intake costs you paid.
Settlement in case of an accepted case
If the conversation leads to a case accepted by us, these costs will be settled as an advance with the agreed fee or the personal contribution to be paid by you and the intake interview is therefore free of charge.
Report any impediment in good time
Finally, I would like to ask you to be available by telephone at the agreed time. Half an hour is set aside for the intake interview.
If for whatever reason you are unable to attend, I request that you inform us of this in good time, so that we can reschedule the intake interview.
Confidentiality
All information discussed by you with our employees and lawyers will be treated confidentially and is subject to the confidentiality obligation of the lawyer concerned. The information discussed by you and our office will never be shared with third parties without your permission.
GDPR/Privacy
We would also like to point out that the proper performance of our work requires that your (personal) data is stored in our system for some time. The starting point based on the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is that personal data may not be stored for longer than necessary for the purpose of the processing. In this context, I would like to point out that your (personal) data will be retained by us for a period of five years, after which it will be destroyed. By providing your (personal) data, you explicitly give permission to process it.
Contact and scheduling an appointment
We would like to know whether you would like an intake interview. This can be done by telephone and/or Zoom, Microsoft Teams or Skype for business.
If so, you can call or email for an appointment. You can also leave your contact details, after which one of our employees will contact you.
Our opening hours are: Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. We are closed on weekends.
If you do not wish to schedule an intake interview, we wish you the best of luck with your request for assistance and we would like to point out that you can obtain free legal advice from the Legal Desk and/or various other institutions as referred to on the website of the central government.
